SIEBEL SAILORS PROGRAM

Increasing Access To Sailing

A Community Sailing Project by US Sailing

DIVERSITY. OPPORTUNITY. SAILING. SIEBEL.

Sail Sand Point is the Primary Center for the Pacific Northwest region of US Sailing’s Siebel Sailors Program. The resources and structure provided by US Sailing fit perfectly between SSPs existing introductory one-day, “fun on the water” Leeway Program; and our longer engagement more skills-focused summer camp and racing programs. Through participation in the Siebel Sailors Program, Sail Sand Point will be able to enhance and further our mission by provide more pathways into the sport for our community. Siebel Centers seek to recruit youth of diverse backgrounds and are dedicated to increasing opportunity and diversity in a sport that has included mostly affluent youth.

The Siebel Sailors Program focuses on the WHOLE sailor. Youth sailors will learn life skills such as learning to RESPECT themselves, teammates and coaches, giving their BEST EFFORTINCLUSIVITY, as well as, having the opportunity to step into various LEADERSHIP roles. For more information contact: nora@sailsandpoint.org.
