Have a few hours to spare on Saturday the 24th? Want to help us winterize the site? We`d love some help! If you have experience derigging boats, great! If not, there`s plenty else to do AND we`re always happy to teach. Afterwards we`ll announce the winner of the 2026 Marcy Edwards Volunteer of the Year award!

Labor Day marks the end of our Annual Summer Fundraising Campaign, and we’re heading into the final weekend with a little extra incentive to support scholarships, adaptive sailing, and low-cost community programs.
Stop by Sail Sand Point when Open Boating is open THIS weekend (Friday through Monday) and make an in-person donation of $20 or more and you’ll:
1. Receive an entry to win a FREE Annual Pass. That’s a whole year of Open Boating rentals!

More importantly, your donation helps keep SSP affordable and often completely free for those who need it most. Community support helps us provide scholarships, affordable programs, adaptive sailing opportunities, free community events, and access to the water on safe, well-maintained boats for thousands of people each year.
