High School Sailing Team
Spring & Fall Ages 14-18
As part of our High School Team, sailors will practice in FJs and c420s with other Seattle-area high school kids to compete on the Northwest high school circuit. Teams have the opportunity to travel to regattas throughout Washington and Oregon, culminating in a chance to qualify for a trip to nationals. High school sailing is a very fun and social atmosphere and a great way to stay connected to sailing during the school year. If you do not know any sailors at your school, come stop by a practice and SSP can help you start a team! Spring season is March 1st through mid-May and Fall season is September through early November.
For information about the high school racing calendar for our region, please see NWISA’s website. Here you can find the regatta and event schedule, district rules, and more!
Spring Season Registration
Starting in 2022, Sail Sand Point will be running registration for middle and high school sailing through Active Network. If you are interested in sailing with SSP’s high school teams, please indicate your interest and provide some basic information in this form. Registration for Spring season will open Monday, February 14th at 4:00pm PST.
Note: To increase accessibility, team dues are kept low and scholarships are available for any sailor. To apply for a scholarship, you can download our Youth Racing Scholarship Application here and return it to the office by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), mail or in person.
