Looking for something to do this weekend? We have room in our Adult 101 and Adult Keelboat classes! Learn how to sail in an RS Quest (Adult 101) or our J-24 (Adult Keelboat). No experience necessary for Adult 101, Adult Keelboat needs Adult 101 or similar experience – register here!

Spring Work Party – Saturday, April 14th 9 am – 3:30 pm

Sail Sand Point is gearing up for the start of the season and we need your help! Our Spring Work Party is on Saturday April 14th from 9 am – 3:30 pm. We’ll be putting together boats, cleaning up the boatyard and sharing a community lunch. The Spring Work Party is a great way to meet other sailors and paddlers and to get acquainted with the staff at Sail Sand Point.

Happy International Women’s Day! Sail Sand Point is committed to promoting women’s boating in Seattle. We have countless women and girls who learn, instruct, volunteer, and race with us each year. A group of high school sailors even competed at the Women’s Invitational in San Diego last fall!

Did you know that we offer women-only and girls-only camps and classes?
Teen beginner has a girls-only option from July 16-20
Adult 101 offers two women-only sessions: May 29-June 7, and July 14-22
Adult 102 has two as well: June 12-21 and August 11-19

SSP offers scholarships for both children and adults so nobody is excluded from the sport based on financial status.

Scholarship Information:

Sail Sand Point offers scholarships for all youth camps and adult classes. We are accepting scholarship applications starting February 1st. Applications can be found here.

Shipmates Application:

Shipmates is a mission based program that provides groups of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds a one-day excursion to get out on the water sailing, paddling and exploring our marine environment. For groups with financial limitations, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship. We offer scholarships from 25%-100% of the cost. Applications for scholarships open February 1st.

Youth Racing

The High School sailing season at Sail Sand Point is fast approaching! Our group is looking for new team members, no prior sailing experience necessary. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, please fill out this application or attend our open house on February 15th.

News From The Lake!

As of Monday, January 22, phase 2 renovations the Sail Sand Point boathouse has begun! The paint is being abated and the boathouse will be re-painted. Access to the pier will be limited until Mid March.

Happy Holidays! See below for some helpful information on our hours, end of year donations, and gift certificates.

Holiday Hours

Sail Sand Point will be closed from December 16th through January 1st for the holidays. We will reopen on January 2nd at 10:00 am. If you need help before January, please contact info@sailsandpoint.org. Email will be checked every few days.

Donations

In order to help SSP provide low or no cost access to boating for people of all ages and backgrounds, please consider making a donation to our cause. A financial contribution in any amount helps! To give by check, please make your check payable to “Sail Sand Point” and mail it to:
